Binance, one of the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges, has announced that it will support the upcoming BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) network upgrade and Hard Fork.
Binance Prepares for BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) Network Upgrade and Hard Fork
This step aims to ensure optimum performance of BNB Smart Chain and improve the overall user experience.
The BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) network upgrade and Hard Fork is scheduled to occur at block height of 31,302,048 BNB Smart Chain, and on August 30, 2023 at 10:30 am.
To facilitate this process, token deposits and withdrawals on the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) will be temporarily suspended from approximately 10:15 pm on the same day.
Important Points to Consider:
Trading of tokens available on the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) will continue unaffected during the network upgrade and Hard Fork.
Network upgrade and Hard Fork will occur at the specific block height mentioned above. The timing given is for reference only.
Binance will manage all the necessary technical aspects to ensure a smooth transition for all users.
This network upgrade and Hard Fork will not lead to the creation of new tokens. Once the upgraded network is deemed stable, Binance will reopen deposits and withdrawals for tokens on the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20).
